Question speed vs rpm, 4L60E, 3.23 axle

I just had my wifes 4L60E rebuilt. I thought it used to be around 1700 rpm at 60mph. It now registers 2000 rpm at 60mph. The builder says this normal. Who's right the builder or my memory?

You are right! Mine is a 2.73 car & 80 mph is 2000! If I remember my friends 3.23, 80 mph was like 2200. There is a calculation on F-body.Org that can help.

You already posted the same question 2 days ago on "General F-Body Tech & Info", and got two responses there.
