Thumbs up SPEC Stage 4 just installed! WOW!!!

Just installed stage 4 Spec and all I can say is WOW!!. This clutch bites so hard feels as if it is going to rip the rear end out. I am having to ride the hell out of it just to get it to take off without spinning. Got on it only one time and not going to do it again until breakend period is over. No chatter either.

Congrats on the install. Did you get their steel flywheel with it too or did you reuse your stocker? I'm looking for a new clutch soon and like the IV, not sure if I should get their flywheel too.

Nah, budget forced me to use the sock one but thats fine with me. Using this clutch is almost like learning to drive all over again. Everyone had there opinion but mine is this is an amazing, feeling, griping clutch. I would like to know if anyone has 4:10 and this clutch. If so how in the world do they drive it! This is one bad *** griping clutch!!!

Congrats on the new clutch man...it's the only clutch I would ever use other than the street twin as long as I had atleast a 12 bolt to hold it.

Yeah , need to get me a 12 bolt or 9. Is it just me or does the Spec 4 take a lot of getting use to? Had it for a few days now, and I tell you I still havent got use to hit. This is one grabbing clutch!!!

Yea it deffinetly takes some getting use to, just be easy on it during the break in period and for the life of the 10 bolt and you and your 10 bolt should have a good relationship with your new SPEC.

Thinks for the info!! Was begining to worry if I ever would get use to it. Definitely a world of difference between this clutch and my former Centerforce clutch.

Re: SPEC Stage 4 just installed! WOW!!!

i just installed my stage 4, but i'm not so lucky, it makes the worst noises during engagement and when fully engaged, i dont know what the problem is, wont take long for me to get used to it but it doesnt sound good. I wish i had an expert to take a look at it and listed to it and tell me what it wrong. it's only in a fre gears at certain mph's and rpm's

i got the steel flywheel with it, could that be the problem? it has the little weight on the inside of it. i heard that it sometimes causes vibration.

any help??

Re: SPEC Stage 4 just installed! WOW!!!

Re: SPEC Stage 4 just installed! WOW!!!

i ordered it from speed-eng but they never asked if i wanted it zero ballanced or whatever other way it comes. so i have to take it to a shop and have them match it to my old flywheel? is the pressure plate suppose to line up with the dics or flywheel or can you just bolt all 3 together as long as they are lined up with the tool?

and lastly, if the tranny goes back together fine, does it mean that the spline too lined everything up correct? could it be not lined up still if it fit too tight? should i have replaced the bearing that the clutch fork goes around? through out bearing??

Compared to the Stage 3, how much worse is the Stage 4 to drive? I never had too much trouble driving the Stage 3, except for chatter in reverse.
