Spec Stage 4 is in...
After a mixup with the delivery that ended up taking 12 days for a next day air shipment, I got the clutch and put it in last night. So far, so good, I give it the thumbs up. I can tell that it grips pretty hard, but havent put it to a race test yet.
It is a spec stage 4 on a 94 LT1. I resurfaced my SLP flywheel. I went through my first SLP clutch that was on the car when I bought it a couple years ago; but the mileage on it was high anyway and it was beat on bad so I thought it might get me through the year to just throw on another SLP (GM) disc. No go on that unless I just wanted to cruise around with it and not race.
Went with the Stage 4 because I needed something shipped to me immediately. This is my spare car basically, but with my other car all torn apart, I needed something quick and easy that will hold atleast decent power so, why not. Probably should have gotten a street twin or the stage 5, but I like how it feels.
I hesitated for all of 1 second after reading how many people say its tough to drive around town and that the websites list it as race only, becuase I think it and the stage 5 (on a friends blown vette) unsprung are pretty mild for getting around actually, I am pleasantly suprised with them.
It went in easy, no problems with anything and the whole change only took a few hours out and a few more back in.
I'll be posting track times/vids after next sunday, Im off to finish breakin her it

Haha I' m on my second 10 bolt this year, just ones I had laying around. The 12 bolt is in the garage, thats why I said time slips/vids NEXt week, since I need to measure for a driveshaft. I have a dennys n20-ready ds with my th400 but its too short to use in the green car.
