mines a little more broken in now and it is a lot more bearable.. hardly any chatter. I was babying it for the first hundred or two miles and it was chattery.. now the more i beat on it the better it feels

OK, I have a Spec stage 3, with the 6 puck design, with an SLP billet flywheel. I ran this clutch setup behind 3 different setups. First was the stock motor, and this clutch was waaaay to much for that. It chattered, especially in reverse. Switching gears, it was like on/off for gear changes. It slowly and gradually broke it, but never fully did. The I did a cam and head swap, and the clutch felt better behind that set up, still a little chattery. Then when I blew that up, I built the 396. Now the clutch feels right at home behind it. It’s like the more hp/tq I put through the clutch, the tamer it feels.

i agree with him 100% and thats the same setup i have. spec 3 6 puck, billet flywheel... bought it a few years ago and love it.

at first i had it on stock with nitto 555r(lid, catback, etc), and it held up perfectly. yes there was the clatter, but it didnt bother me then, and by now its normal to me or i just dont notice it anymore...
now i have it on a cam only+full bolt ons and like he said. to me its easy as hell to drive, and ive let a few of my friends just recently drive it(before then, me and me alone drove my baby, and now they wanna get on it a lil bit bc they were in awe )

i have read all the horror stories on this board, and it scared me, bc i read my first one a few weeks/months after i insalled mine. but to this day, hasnt broke and its been 2+ yrs since ive been to the track, but i dont even know how many passes i have on it+street racing pre-katrina in the east (was the **** back in the day )

and yes, i will buy it again, hopefully need the 4 by then

deffintly would buy one again if i had a manual car again. i had 2 years of abuse on mine before i sold the car and never had a complaint. it did chatter less after some miles. my car was a 93 so it even had 323s in the rear.
