Spec clutch disk material??

they offer Kevlar, Carbon Fiber or Ceramic

what are the advantages of each? dissadvantages?

i know some tend to chatter more, some hold better...etc..

planning on a Spec 4 and a lightwieght flywheel, need it to hold about 425hp to the wheels N/A...so maybe 500 at the crank.

don't wanna mess with the spec 3 due to all the spring problems i hear about.

Re: Spec clutch disk material??

Maybe the material isn't the problem for me... but

I've read that the Kevlar disks are very, VERY touchy.

And my clutch is GARBAGE! (in terms of drivability) In all honesty.. it grabs like a ****, but it chatters like crazy! And I only have stage 2!

But it is so very inconsistant. One minute, it will be smooth as ice.. the next, it will chatter so bad that my headers bang agaist my k-member. I hate it!

I don't reccoment SPEC in the first place... but if you are going with them, at least don't get a kevlar friction disk. I'm thinking ceramic would be a nicer choice.
