Spec 3 on drag radials?

Spec 3 on drag radials?

How does the SPEC 3/hybrid hold up with 5k clutch dumps on drag radials with the power in my sig? I will be launching on motor and the spray will come in at 3k WOT

Spec are junk. Look into a McLeod Street Twin.

i have one, and love it does the job right snapped my axle on first 3k launch not saying mcleod isnt better, but the specs are nice also

I don't feel like spending a thousand dollars on a clutch at the moment..

I'm simply asking if it can take the torque, not peoples personal bias.

What is the hardest you have launched with it?

on the street 4kish, like i said, track one time i went, 3k drop snapped the axle...

There have been a few f-body people that have had the spec clutches blow up, taking the bellhousing, front of the tranny and parts of the floorpan, no one has been injured yet that I know of, but based on some of the pictures of the carnage a spec isn’t coming any where near my car.

reason i have the 12 bolt lol, no snapped the stock rear axle...

At LS1tech there seems to be several guys pulling 1.5xx 60 foots pullin the wheels off the ground with the SPEC 3...guess I'll be okay.

I think SPEC has improved their clutches over the last couple of years.
