Spec 3, 4, or 5?

I have the stock clutch for now, with a stock car. Once I get my Headers, plugs, and wires... I am assuming some clutch breakage... but am gonna try to make it until I do my cam install...

So its going to be a set of LT's, XE227/233 Cam, and tune from Ion. I was told 360rwhp is about where I should be. Which clutch should I go with? Full clutch that is... new everything on the clutch. What does that include anyway?

I was think Spec 4 because I heard its very close to stock clutch and its a lot harder to break then the Spec 3. Or should I go with the McLeod Street Twin? Cash is a problem, but I do want reliability and quality.

I'm runing the stage III and its holding up great, prolly have 6k and 20+ passes on it, most of them with bfg dr's. i've never had experience with the 4 or 5, there was a guy on here that tried the 5 and took it out the same day, i guess the 4 drives simularly to the 3 but without the sprung center section.

The sprung center section is the problem with the Stage 3, I have went through 2 in a stock car, the first one took out my trans with it. I hear the Stage 4 feels exactly the same as the 3, and you dont have to worry about the LOW quality, tiny, center section that is used on the stage 3.

Stage 4

Unless this is a daily driver in a very heavy traffic area...ie stop and go traffic on the freeway.

I love my stage 4, but was getting a little worried when i went to Kansas city and got stock in traffic, clutch heated up, started groaning and being really grabby.

I do live in a traffic area and it is my daily driver. I want something that grabs hard. It doesn't have to be a spec... Street Twin I know is great, but I dunno... variables involved need to be considered...

Want Power but streetability for a daily driver.

Spec 3 seems to low quality from what i've been reading. I'll spend the extra cash if I must, just need the correct one.

Need someone with a street twin to chime in and tell how they handle heavy traffic mega stop and go situations.

If its a true daily driver then I wouldnt get a spec at all. People claim that they drive like stock but they dont. Get a Mcleod, they actually do feel like stock clutches. The street twin would be the best bet but even the single disk worked for me for about 4 years of daily driving and 500+rwhp. It didnt start slipping till I started making over 600rw.

I can honestly say i felt no difference going from my STOCK clutch to a spec stage 4 ceramic.

Only difference i have noticed is how it heats up in heavy stop and go traffic, and does chatter more.

And now your claiming this???,

Chris specifically said that it is for a daily driver and he lives in a high traffic area. I seriously doubt that he wants to worry about his clutch heating up and groaning and getting grabby in stop and go traffic. Now try and back up on a slight incline with a heated up spec clutch...it sucks.

Now dont get me wrong, the spec clutch is a great clutch. It grabs hard on those high rpm launches and it never slips. But for advise on a true daily driver and not a weekend car I would have to stick with Mcleod.

Under normal driving situations it acts just like the stock clutch.

But i do agree if its for a daily driver in a place with insane traffic, get something else.
