Question Sounds like my Clutch needs WD40?

Ummmm....yeah. When I push my clutch in it squeaks-like it needs Wd40. Is that possible? Can I spray some on there carefree or are there specifics?

Don't use WD40 on your clutch. If it were me guessing I'd say the little springs inside are squeaking. Any kind of oil on the disc of your clutch will most likely cause to to start slipping and ruin. Well, hope this helps. Oh, maybe you could get a friend to push the clutch while you lay under the car to see where the noise is coming from. It might be ok to spray the linkage, but not the clutch disc at all.
Hope this helps ---J.Bird

Oh, another thought, if it's just the pedal too it should be ok, just don't get any of the disc at all if you can help it. I had a rear main seal leak more or less toast the clutch on one of my old hotrod trucks...Oil isn't good for the disc.
