I'm sponsored by spec.. They give/gave me free clutches.. It was only a pay one price admission.. I went through 3 of them.. All replaced by SPEC w/ no questions asked.... I designed their current clutch setup's.. Which is probably what most are using now w/ the stage III's and Upto the 5's.. Not bad setup eh?

Does this **** end ? Your still spinning. When you have a spec clutch that isnt deffective and grabs, good for you. Your lucky. It still will not grab like a street twin. People in the 9's and 10's with street twins are pulling 1.2's, so fu(kin spec this. Spec does not offer anything with close to the holding power as the twin. There is no comparsion there. The twin is as smooth as a stock with almost no chatter. Get one of the higher end spec's and the chatter box engages like an on off switch. Hands down the twin is the best LT1 clutch, best deal with the best customer service. Post whatever stupid reply you want, i'm done talking to the wall.

Now this is a grabing clutch.

By the way he has a street twin too. Since he put it in he has gone thru 2 driveshafts, 1 output shaft and 1 aburn posi in a 9 inch. Grab this.

PS - Can you please point out where I said the street twin wasn't a good clutch? My only point w/ the SPEC is that it's good enough for prolly more than 95% of the people that own M6's. You're paying a premium price for the street twin, so I'd damn well hope it'd be hands down better than any other clutch available.

I've driven a couple cars w/ street twins, namely Jordon Musser's Turbo'd Camaro - it engaged just like stock and made for smooth seamless shifts. But, it felt a lot like his SPEC stage 2 he had before it.

Mine OTOH is a literal on/off switch - w/no chatter though.. You either move or the car dies.

And if breaking driveline stuff = a sticky clutch... Umm.. I've sheared two bearing hubs of my 12 bolt posi's, twisted an axle, and twisted a driveshaft.

: grabbing and pulling the front tires as I do so, thanks to my trusty SPEC clutch . :

i dont think spec can hang with a street twin, however, my spec stage 3 handled 900+rwhp with my turbo motor (granted, on street tires on the street) like a champ. and was lot cheaper than my street twin was

I bought the single dick mcleod, and it sucked. It burned down to the rivots in 3,500 miles. mcleod had crappy customer service, and wanted about 350 bucks to fix it. I would of bought a twin disk, but I didnt want to give them any more of my money. I bought a spec stage 3 next. It was in the car for about 10,000 miles and had no problems. When I pulled the clutch for the new motor, it looked a little worn. I sent it back to spec, got a new disk, new throw out bearing, and rebuilt pressure plate for 46 bucks. Kick *** customer service. Bottom line. As far as Mcleod, they sucked. bottom line.

Well maybe I shouldnt have started this post I just wanted to let everyone know my case and If you search on spec you will see lots more failures, as far as spec making good clucthes I dont know because I dont want to buy another one, Im glad to hear it worked out for some other people but I had to spend 6 hours under my car cuz of specs good quality. Facts speak for themselves and specs quality if pretty questionable.

Well thats how the " big kids" talk I guess....

Yeah and my stage 3 doesn't chatter at all... so whats the point, people will have thier favorite this and thats, no reason to get all childish about it and act all high and mighty, now that you spent $800 ona clutch, big deal. A spec stage 3 is more than enough for most F-body ownwers, hell a stage 2 is more than enough for most F-body owners, but apparently, you're only good enough iof you have a Street Twin.
Also about the whole, good quality control, business, Myself and several or my friends in some of the local F-body groups have no problems with them, so they must be doing something somewhat right.

Spec Stage IV here. No chatter at all. It all depends on the idiot behind the wheel and how well that idiot can learn how to drive on an agressive clutch.
Of course the street twin is a damn good clutch. However it can be overikill for the majority of applications. There are those who do not need to pay double the price when there are good clutches out there like the Spec and Ram for the LT1 that will work perfectly.
