So, gears or not???

Got a pretty much stock 95 M6 Z28 with just a CAI on it. Of course its got 3.42's in it right now. Will there be any gain in 3.73's or 4.10's?? Gas mileage is NO ISSUE. And, what will need to be done to recalibrate the speedo?

Re: So, gears or not???

I would definitely not do gears again, especially if I had an M6. Aftermarket gears w/a lower ratio will be weaker....you need all the strength you can get

www.madz28.com for tuning to recalibrate the speedo....as well as any other tuning you may desire

Re: So, gears or not???

I have 3.73 in my m6, i couldn't be happier. It is a perfect balance of street/strip driving. I get through most of 4th in the 1/4 and still get good mpg. Some people will tell you that 3.73's are a waste of time in a m6, everybodys different. Different setups will appeal to different people. Will there be a gain? I saw .1 and 1 mph in the 1/4, your gains will depend on many factors.

I would definatly do gears. It was one of my favorite mods. Personally I would say go 4.10's since you have the M6.
