SLP billet alum. or Spec billet steel flywheel
I have an SLP billet aluminum flywheel (Lt1-T56) style and I hate it. I noticed that Spec has a new steel one for sale and need to know if this would be a better flywheel for me. SLP clams that since I had the flywheel resurfaced that not it is ruined and will most likely break. What are the pros and cons of either flywheel. I use my car on the street and little track duty. my spec are in my sig.

I'm not a big fan of aluminum flywheels. it'll get it spinnin quicker, but it will also lose rpm easier. a heavier flywheel makes the motor harder to stop because of inertia and all that technical stuff . the gains are different for each motor. i figure gm did it right, so i'll stay steel.

Just a quick question about your light weight flywheel. I was wondering if you feel any vibrations in the clutch pedal? I just insalled a fidanza aluminum flywheel and it is balanced to my SPEC stage 2 clutch, yet i still feel vibrations.
