hi,i have 1997 camaro z28 and the problem i'm having is slipping in overdrive but no other gears.first to second ok,second to third ok,third to
fourth ok til you give it some throttle then it starts to slip then it will catch.

 

Are you sure it isnt just jumping out of lockup and then back in?

 

i'm sure,when it goes into fourth gear and you apply some throttle it will slip then grab

 

Hmm odd the band that holds in 2nd is the same as 4th I would guess if it is indeed doing that its actually the 3-4 clutch failing slippng under load

 

identical thing started to happen to my 4L60 back in November, rebuild. end of story

 

so the 3-4 clutch pack is gone? or this trans guy was saying maybe the
forword sprag.
