slave cylinder

Re: slave cylinder
Bleeding can be difficult as the system is sealed and has no bleed screw but is doable.
There is a roll pin holding the braided line connector onto slave. punch that out and remove slave. I suggest first filling the new slave with brake fluid first and hold it so the base is straight up and filled to top. you can give it some very short strokes to push any air out and top off. Connect the new slave to braided line trying not to lose any fluid (you will though) and put roll pin back in
Now with ew slave hanging pump by hand slowly as someone else watches for bubbles to come up/out the reservoir. Fill as needed
or just buy a complete sealed MC/Slave unit and install. If the MC is original it would be a good idea to replace it also

Re: slave cylinder
OP
when you get the new hydraulics the slave will have two plastic straps holding the piston in. install it that way. the two small straps break the 1st time you push the pedal leaving the plastic cup on the end of the slave rod (normal).
I bought my hydraulics at rockauto.com
