ok so this might be a stupid question but i wanna know exactly what does a skip shift eliminator chip do for you? do get any hp out of it? thanks

 

It eliminates the 1st to 4th skip shift. There is no hp gain.

 

does it make the gears any longer i guess im sort of confused about it

 

Without the eliminator the computer under certain conditions (low throttle take offs) it forces you to shift from 1st to 4th by locking you out of 2-3 with a solenoid in the tranny. Either accelerate more to unlock 2-3 or shift to 4th.

 

My advice would be to not buy the skip shift elminators. I did and it was a waste. They did work, but one of the next things I did was a PCM tune. So.... I would suggest you just go straight to Ion at MadZ28 and have him tune this out....The best money I have spent on the car.

Of course you would only need to eliminate this if you have an m6.

You can also simply unplug it if its annoying you. But with programming you get a small hp gain!
