simple T56 conversion question

I have used the write up located http://www.afrashteh.com/tranny_pics/T56.htm and have had great success. Thank you to whom ever wrote it up, it has been a great help. But I have one question. My manual pedal setup has sensors on the clutch pedal. What do I plug into those, or do I just ignore them? All the other sensors plug right up to the gas and brake pedal, but I am at a loss on the clutch pedal.

Someone wanna help a brother out?

One is to disengage the cruise control when you push in the clutch, and the other is to prevent you from starting the car until the clutch is depressed. What wires you hook them up to would depend on what you were using for a harness.

Thanks Fred, that helps. The cruise one I can live without, as I live without cruise anyway. Might try and hook the startup one up though.

I would assume that the "clutch-depressed" interlock is pretty much the same as the "neutral safety switch" on the A4. It probably just completes the circuit when the clutch is depressed, as the neutral safety switch completes the circuit when the selector lever is in the correct position.

Thats what I am thinking too. I am gonna run the neutral saftey wires to the pedal switch. Should take care of the problem.

yup. you got it. two thick nutural saftey wires goto clutch switch thats depressed when the clutch pedal is down.

and FYI, if you dont hook up a switch for the cruise, when you're on cruise control, if you try to shift, the RPMs will skyrocket.

i know because i recently did the T56 swap myself, and never hooked up a switch for the cruise.... its not too bad, but if you let someone else drive and they use cruise......
