Rev limiter on 2-3 shift

'95 Trans Am w/3.73s, 4L60E, stock converter. Used the HPP3 to move the shift points down as far as possible, but I'm still hitting the limiter on the 2-3 shift. The 1-2 shift seems to be corrected. Should the HPP3 have taken care of the correction for the gears (i.e., do I have a tranny problem, not a programming problem)? Thanks.

Spoke with Hypertech and they say setting the gear ratio to 3.73 and setting the tire height should correct the shifting, shouldn't have to lower the shift points. Maybe my tire height needs tweaked?

how is your tranny fluid? you could try getting it flushed and see if that helps it out. Mine did that too and my fluid was getting to be a pretty deep red. I kept driving it thinking i won't stress it too much and boom, my tranny went out and I am spending $1815 getting a new tranny built by Dana at Pro-built Automatics.

i think the first thing you should do is set everything back to stock as far as shift points and stuff go and do a tranny service....bad fluid COULD be your whole problem.
