All you have to do is go to MadZ28.com Ion will set you up with the pcm ready to go and you also have to change the Knock Sensor to a OBD2 sensor.

last night brad (viperkiller) came over and we did some tuning on his car and we seem to have the obd1 problem fix (3500 stall makes it tough). but i think it would be wise to wait a week and do so trial and error test. to make sure. but no problems as of yet.

the obd2 swap will fix it and ion is a great.

I had the WOT shifting problem with a stall for a long time (only a 2400 SLP at first) and so did a friend of mine. I went through a couple different programmers and it never was right (obvious rev limiter action between shifts or no shift at all). After many tries and getting a new, bigger stall (yank 3200) I went to Brian at PCMforless. He fixed me up with a basic program and it shifted. Of course the program, being e-mail-order, needed some adjustments, but it go me going. He did the same for my friend, but we needed to do more tweaks to his for some reason to get things just right. I'm still learning, but OBDI and the stall/no shift thing is something that the do-it-yourselfer can indeed overcome.

Good luck. Owingsville, right....? They're closed this week.....Finals in Indy. Next Friday I'm hoping to go myself.

Well Ed's fix has been verified in on a 10.61 second pass with a 1.37 60ft running a 4,000+ stall

Maybe you should try having him tune your car again LOL

If he didnt lock his pcm or charge so much I might think about it. But I have had the "trans program" mod.. It doesnt work for all cars... will be continued....

Okay 2 things.......

Now I'm actually worried. Why is it that here everyone is saying to go to the OBDII when I just ordered the conversion to the OBD1 from PCM. Brian told me that it would be the best for my car.

Second 383Z4ME.....I got almost the exact same setup as you and the trans shop just custom made me a torque converter to my specs. He put in a 2400 stall and also told me that it would be best for my daily driver. But you had problems with it. My motor is almost done and I feel like I'm back at square one.

Second guessing myself again.

This fix is only a few monthes(at best) old. Ed tested it on a 10 second car till it worked and this fix has worked on every car since. That is unless you mess with the MPH tables under WOT

Any fix out there is a copy of this fix.
