Did anyone consider truck freight like Overnite? When I bought my GMMG from a guy in Texas we shipped it this way and it got here in very good condition. Perhaps just strap it down to a pallete?

The container I am using has wheels ...I hope they realize that and use them... Loading and unloading can't be done with just one person so they probably won't even realize ...I hope one guy doesn't try it and tear it up before it gets there..... cross my fingers there.... Did you guys tape the lid on with duct tape maybe shrink wrap????

As you can see, Frank did an excellent job packing it. Also, can anyone tell me in the 2nd to last pic what that thing is tied to the tranny? lol

Do you mind if I use these 2 pics on Franks web site?

Thanks,
John

John, feel free to use whatever you'd like.

94 TA - Tape it REAL good. I also shrink-wrapped mine, and then taped it some more.

Just throwing in my UPS opinion. I order a next day UPS fish to be delivered to me, It said live animal, fragil, etc. When I got it, have of the fishes head was smashed into the corner of the bag/box.

Your transmission arrived yesterday. It was on a Fed-Ex tractor/trailer. The driver refused to back the truck into the driveway, and wouldn't unload the transmission! I wasn't at the shop at the time, so the driver made my uncle and a friend of his unload the transmission and carry it 300 Ft. to the garage.
To some, that might not seem like a big deal, but my uncle is still recovering from a car accident, and can hardly walk. My uncle risked his own safety because a Fed-Ex driver was such an ***. The drivers excuse?..."We can't lift anything over 125#!"

PLEASE, folks, I can't stress this enough. DON'T use Fed-EX, or UPS to ship stuff like this. They're just not qualified to do this. DHL is the only company we suggest using to ship transmission to us.

Thanks,
Frank

Again, no one has tried Overnite or any type of trucking service like this? The guy brought the exhaust right to the door.

Sorry about Fed Ex, they sound almost as bad as postal workers.
