shifting issue
hey
I had the same problem with my tranny before my first rebuild... WOT it wouldnt shift untill you stomped the pedal again...About a month later, 3rd and 4th gear went.... 1400.00 later and 2 years my tranny is acting up again =\...little scared and wanting to convert to a 6-speed now

well ha. its got heads cam and gears but no tune.. been fine for the last 3 months cause i can't find anyone to tune it.. nor can i afford it but regardless it hadn't had a problem till two weeks ago. normal driving is fine which i normally do and out of the blue i ran out first and it did that.. so then i tried second, same thing..
everything works just as it should... before the heads and cam had the stall and the wrong gear ratio for about a year without a problem. and i have put a ****load of miles on it with it driving exactly the same as it always has.. lockup works normal. shifts normal. i could launch the car as hard as it can launch and no problems, wot downshift no problems.... use to blow the tires over on the shift, never hit the limiter. i really rely on this car so i normally just putt it around also because of the lack of tune i dont rev it out. had raced someone the weekend before it started acting up and all was fine, was late for work and hopped on it and in 1st got to 5200ish and it shot straight to the limiter. let out it shifted.. did again to confirm. then tried second basically the same thing.. stopped at a tranny shop and they checked the fluid and said tht it was fine and didn't seem any signs of concern from the oil. went for a test drive and the guy said he was going ot discuss it with the other trans guy to see if they could narrow it down...hot holding my breathe on that answer..
