Shifter question.

I was wondering does anybody make a shifter that will lock you out of the previous gear when racing, or say at a speed where you would be over the rev limiter if you put it into that lower gear. Basically what i would like to be able to do is, prevent doing a 2-1 or 3-2 shift by blocking out those gears when you are going to fast that if you put it into those lower gears, you would probably do some damage. Like over 50 no 1st, over 75 no 2nd, over 100 no 3rd or whatever the respective numbers would be.

I was thinking, maybe using the cags system if there was a way to program the cags system, to block out 2nd and 3rd and maybe rigging up a reverse blockout for 1st?

Wondering if anyone has done this or of a company that already makes this type of shifter?

Re: Shifter question.

None that I know of; and knowing the inside of the tranny, it wouldn't be that easy to make either.
