Shifter came loose, did I do any damage?

The Hurst shifter in my 95 came loose and the lever went all the way forward. Turned out the small bolts that hold the spring and lever in came loose, not the main bolts to the tranny case. Seemed like the shifter was loose but always shifted fine but loose before tonight. Hasn't been raced since last year. What I'm concerned about is if this could have caused any damage by the possibility of the gears not being all the in. Everything seems ok. I'll change the tranny fluid tomorrow morning. It will be greatly appreciated to have knowledge whether anything could have been hurt. Thank You

I wouldn't worry about it. If it seems fine I'll bet it is.
