shifter

has anyone tried one of these shifters? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-02...ayphotohosting
they dont look too great, but would they be a possible improvement over stock? I know the pro 5.0 is the way to go but im not lookin to spend 160+ on a shifter right now.

Re: shifter

$22 for a shifter assembly....right.

i'd stay far away...as the saying goes...you get what you pay for.

look for a short stick. vast improvement over the stock stick and it's only about $20. and since it's just the stick...there is not much worry when it comes to quality

SLPS short throw is a bargin. I havent looked at their web site in years but it should still be there around $100. Mines 5 years old and not 1 complaint.

Re: shifter

i don't think the stick thta fits the stock shifter (or the factory Hurst unit) will fit the pro5.0 shifter...last i looked at the site they were two separate units.

but the lou's is a great piece...i've had it for 5yrs...love it
