Shift Stick

Well this is my first manual trans car im looking to buy. You could see my sig. A 6 speed z28 camaro, but anyways I drove other sticks before but, they where 4 speed or 5 speed and know I went to test drive my camaro and like the shift stick is kinda uncomfortable. Like I feel like the gears are too close together, like it isn't a good enough distance apart from each other. Even like neutural is to bundled up with the top gears and the bottom gears which is sometimes a lil confusing and pesky for me. Is this how all 6 gears are and I just have to deal with it or could I do something to change this, or do I just have to deal and get use to it.

Thanks all answers will be apreciated.

post of a picture of the shifter. You might have a short stick. If you do, you will find lots of members here, including myself, that will trade our factory length sticks for your short stick

Know that I do think about it, it's not really the stick but I guess the spots or what ever where the stick gets into gear. I would like a longer stride from point to point in my car. How would I do that. Its just kind of annoying to have first, neuatral so close together for me. So anyo ne has a soulution or know what I can do?

just drive it....you will get used to it. then anything else you drive will feel sloppy. After you get used to it I think you will really like it alot esp. when you are on the gas and go to pull a gear

That's what I was probably thinking. I'll drive it for a while and deal and after some time will update, but if anyone else has anything to say answers are still welcomed.

yea you probably have a short shifter, and you'll get used to it
generally for performance you want a short shifter so you can shift faster
