shift light in side defrost hole?

has anyone installed there shift light in the side defrost hole in the a-pillar? I just got my raptor, and think it would be pretty cool ta do. If so, any tips or suggestions on how to mount it?

bump. I am curious about this also. If installed in the defrost hole, would I still be able to use the rubber cap to block out the light at night? Also how hard is it to take off the A-piller to install the light.

that's exactly where I mounted mine. the pillar comes off fairly easy. I routed the wire under the dash and tapped into the power from the radio. i cut the little vents off of the little plastic ring with a dremel and put some electrical tape around the shiflight to provide a tight fit. if i need to change my settings, all i do is pull out the plastic ring, pull out the raptor and reprogram it.
