No, you're wrong. Most successful builders DON'T use TG kits. The only "professional" transmission builders I've ever seen that actually install TG kits are glorified "parts swappers" that don't really know how a transmission works.

OK I need to side with Frank on this... Think about what you get in this kit, aside from new gaskets! You get a template on where to drill, and the size of the bit used! You get shims and different springs to use. Well I know that most good tranny builders know where to drill and what the optimal size to make the whole, most of the time better then that kit. And, anyone who knows how and Accumulator works, knows how to tune it to the needs of the setup, and if the builder is building a good performance trans, and are relying on shims/springs from this kit to adjust shift quality they are screwing up!

Back to the original post! Go for gears, unless you want to get that trans built right, then go with Frank!
