just put it in on saturday, and i'm going to pick the car up today so i'll let you know how it feels....the install is pretty extensive, gotta take apart most of the tranny, do some drilling...i'd have someone else install it unless you're real confident.

That's why it's always nice to do things yourself. I believe the servos are the main pieces that make the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts firmer. But, when you drill the plate, you make the holes larger, which could make a difference. It's been a while since i did mine, but i used the larger drill bit for the holes in the plate.

I have a Transgo Kit also. I've enjoyed having mine. It probably took me around 3-4 hours, not including breaks and running to get a pair of snap-ring pliers and more tranny fluid. It's not bad as long as you are careful and take your time. You have to be careful with the small ball bearings, they can fall out of the valve body, but as long as you drop it straight down your safe.

The problem is with the "late" Trans-Go Performance Shift kits, they have made them so as to not trigger the "torque management", which retards the timing and can cause the vehicle to fall flat on its face. This "late" Trans-Go Performance Shift kit change though does little for the longevity of the unit. First "disable" the torque management", second, use the "modified" Trans-Go Performance Shift kit (using earlier hole size modifications), this will give you the smooth part throttle shifts and firm WOT shifts. I do these modifications to all my units and the valve body kits that I carry. If you already have the kit, I can tell you what needs to be done to correct this, just let me know?
