setup help , stall and gears
Iam getting ready to start a set up for my car, right now its about stock but shift kit flow master exhaust and k&n filter. I want to do the stall and gears first then a set of headers, after that a set of ported heads and nice cam.
I think the car has 3:23 now and was thinking of going to 3:73 gears , would this be the best gears to runs or should i use the 3:42.
Also i need a stall, what size would be cool to run on the street with this set up with out going to big. Is there any thing that should be done to the trans when its out, it was just rebuilt with a shift kit not long ago. It has a new stock stall but let the tires lose at 1200 rpm

I firmly believe that 3.73s are the best all around gear for the automatics.
Stall converter is more subjective, I run around a 2600 stall and I like it, not too big but it still kicks butt.
Alot of guys like 2800s and quite a few like 3000s, just keep in mind that the higher stall you get the more RPMs it will take to get the car to really take off, it will go when you step on the gas it will just seem kinda doggy until you reallly get into it.
