ring gear was loose...why?

well i had this nasty noise in my rear, found out it was the ring gear not tight at all. so i had it tightened. now my gears whine/howel a little bit. also my pinion seal leaks quite a bit. how do i get it to stop? is my driveshaft angle wrong? also how much is a rebuild kit for a moser 12 bolt? what else could it be? thanks!

Did you red loctite the bolts?
Did you torque them to 65 lbs. ?
These are the only reasons a ring gear will loosen.

Consider your gears to be shot.
