reverse trouble
reverse trouble
i am having trouble to go into reverse.
i got a 96 z28 w/ a T56 tranny.
all of this happened after i got an alarm put into the car. i took it back to where they installed it, and checked over all of the work and they told me that it couldnt be the alarm that is messing it up
it is affecting the engine sensor/lockout solenoid circuit.
i have NO CLUE what is giving it more juice and popping the fuse.
has anyone else have this problem? any ideas/suggestions/info would be greatly appreciated!
thanx in advance.

Re: reverse trouble
Don't know what they tapped into - what else is on that circuit? On LS1's the ENG SEN fuse has the reverse lock solenoid, 02's, and a couple other things on it. So a short/blown fuse will lock you out of reverse, like an 02 wire burnt on a header, etc. Maybe disconnect the alarm and see if it goes away. Sorry can't help more...TTT for you.
