Restoring/Modernizing

I currently don't own a Camaro, yet, but my friend has me hooked. So I'm looking at buying a 69 Camaro. I plan on replacing the stock engine with that of either a 99 Camaro or a 99 Firebird engine/drivetrain.

From there I'm not sure since I'll have to save up a little, but I would like your opinions or comments on what I want to do above.

Re: Restoring/Modernizing

The engine swap can be done fairly easially. The drivetrain is a little harder. I would keep the stock suspension for a while, swapping that out is a job for someone who really knows what they are doing and takes some $$.

Swapping in a T56 I'm not to sure about, mainly the shifter locations and everything.
