replacing pro-5.0 shifter springs??

I called pro50. I talked to the guy about it he sent me new springs. I'm going to install the new ones and see what happens, if it's still not springy enough, I'm going to put some washers in there.

Also note, for anyone trying to change springs, there is some kind of "insert" that he is also sending me that sits on the bottom of the spring. It's supposed to stop the spring from getting damaged. I didn't see this in my pro50 when I took it apart, maybe this was my problem?? we'll see.

The insert that is supossed to be under the springs is like a solid-washer which is what rides on the cross-shaft of the shifter. If you didn't have these, then the springs will get damaged very easially.

replaced the springs. The shifter is MUCH better, feels new again. I guess after 4-5 years the springs get worn down alot!

thats interesting, i didnt even see any springs in mine when i installed it. thats good to know though in case mine ever gets weak.
