Replacement Gear Question for Moser 12 Bolt

I have a Moser 12 Bolt in my 94 Z28 M6 and I am not satisfied with the whine I have in the car. I believe I found a shop that has a good reputation for setting up rears that I found out about through a local car show.

I have about 4,500 miles on the current gears: U.S. Gear, 3:73 ratio.

Should I have new gears in stalled or just let the shop reset the backlash and pinion depth to try and correct the whine?

If I have to install new gears, any suggestions on manufacturer?

Stick with U.S. Gear, change to Richmond, try Motive?

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

well the obvious, from a money perspective says to let them try and reset the gears 1st! dont forget the GM limited slip additive, that stuff works! i had some whine in my Moser also and just changed out fluids 300 or so miles ago and shes alot quiter now. like a good woman, not a whole lot a whine

if you did swap out gear sets, i have read good things about U.S.-Gear and GM Motive, i would use whatever Moser recommended tho

I wouldn't try and reset the existing gears, that's a no no. Try with some new gears from GM. They won't be as strong though.
