I've broke so many of those I actually made a jig for the tranny and floor jack.

That's what mine did. Seems to vary from car to car (or maybe some people are just more tolerant of the vibration).

Did you have poly engine mounts and poly trans or just a poly trans mount?

I've heard others say that it vibrated alot until they went poly in both (all three mounts, obviously) locations.

Re: Replaced broken tranny mount with poly one

Vibration is no problem at all.
I've had these on at least two Fbodies without issue.

Re: Replaced broken tranny mount with poly one

helps if you run an aluminum driveshaft, with the steel one it can be hit and miss depending on how bad the balence is off.

Also depends on the company that makes it, and if its ES, then if you use the spacer plate, it will vibrate much more.

Used the spacer plate on '97 A4 Z - vibrates very bad with poly mount. Thinking of going back to rubber..............

Re: Replaced broken tranny mount with poly one

those break sooo easily with just the slightest bit of power put to them, poly is the only way to go.

Do NOT use the spacer plate, i had it in there for a year because I thought it was supposed to be in there and when i finally found out it wasnt, i took it out and boom...WAYYYY better. Compared to before, car felt like a luxury car when it idled.
