removing axles, need help with c-clips....
so, in my quest to track down my mystery noise somewhere in the rear end, i'm pulling the axles.
how in the HELL do you get the c-clips off the ends of the axles??? i push the axles in as far as they can go, and i can only see about half of the width of the c-clip. do i need a special tool? also, when i do get them off, it looks like they're going to fall down in the bottom of that limited slip housing, or whatever that is. i took a pic so you guys would know what i'm talking about:

any help is appreciated.... thanks.

Got a car with traction control? The sensor is prohibiting the axle to move in far enough. Remove the sensor from the backing plate and it will allow you more room to slide it inward to drop the c-clips.
