I am putting together a spare 7 5/8" 10 Bolt rear end with 4.1 gears, Eaton Posi LSD, alumium cover, etc.
I noticed that the reluctor ring is not aligned with the ABS sensor in the Diff Housing. The metal center part of the sensor does not sit in line with the reluctor gear. they are side by side. Is this the way it is supposed to be or should they line up and ovelap?

At some point did you switch from a 2-series to a 3-series carrier?

Thanks for pointing that out, Fred. That is precisely what happened. I am trying to use a series 2 reluctor ring in a series 3 carrier.
The series 2 reluctor ring is thinner and does not overlap the sensor.
I will try to move it further or get a series 3 (wider) reluctor.
