Rebuild 4l60e Myself?

So this weekend i rebuilt my first th350 and honestly is wasn't that hard at all.. so now I am thinking of spending some money and buying some Heavy duty parts for my blownup 4l60e and rebuild it myself. I know it will be diff but can't be that hard if i take my time. and i can save alot by doing it myself and but the money i save into stronger parts.

You're talking about 2 COMPLETELY different transmissions. The 350 is a "beginners" transmission. You can get alot of it wrong, and it'll still work.

I can attest to that I've made a few mistakes on some TH-350's and they still worked. It's worth doing a 350 yourself because the rebuild kits are dirt cheap. The main reason I wont attempt a 4L60E myself is because the parts alone for a high performance rebuild are expensive as hell, not to meantion the experience required to have one last under harsh conditions. It's not worth gambling $700 in parts when you can get a good rebuild for $800-1000.
