Rear End ???

On a 2002 WS-6, if you jack the rear end up so that both wheels are off of the ground and spin one of the wheels by hand what should the other wheel do?

Please post questions on this topic in the "Drivetrain" forum, not here on "General Tech".

Even if he didn't have posi the other wheel would still spin its just which direction. IF you have posi and other wheel should spin in the same direction you are turning your wheel. If you didn't have posi the other wheel would turn in the oposite direction.

Re: Rear End ???

What does it mean if the other wheel does not move at all, but if I start the car and put it in gear they both turn?

It means the car is in neutral, and you're turning the driveshaft instead of the other axle. Put the car in gear and try again.

NOW, there's a chance that the wheel on the other side could spin the opposite direction even if you have an LSD (limited slip differential) but it only happens with the Zexel Torsen diffs I believe. I know that's what my factory 2.73 diff is, and I'm pretty sure the axles will turn in opposite directions if you just spin one side. The Auburn diff is more like a traditional "posi", and they will always turn in the same direction.

Your '02 T/A definitely came with an LSD, it's just a question of which type, Torsen or Auburn.
