Re: Raptors converters for 4l60e??

I would avoid this place. They are located about 3 miles from my house. They have many reports to the local BBB. They made our local 6 pm news once from so many complaints. They have good parts but tend to give people a hard time about returns or problems people have with their rebuilds. Basically, its never their fault. You must of done something wrong to make it break. When they had a news camera stuck in their face they ran inside and locked the doors. They didn't reply to any questions to the news crew at all. Also, my next door neighbor had his auto rebuilt by them 3 times in 2 years. He payed full price every rebuilt and they said his 8lb ATI blower was to blame. Heck, how "strong" of transmission do you need for that? He then had it rebuild by a regular old trans shop and its been going strong for 5 years now. As far as the TC, I wouldn't plain on returning it if you had a problem. You will be SOL.

^^^ I beleive he ment avoid them...

But either way I have not heard good things about their rebuilds or their trannies, but honestly never heard anything about their converters. The blurb you coppied can be said about all aftermarket converters and I don't see anything from them demanding that kind of price tag...

Look around this site, there are much better options then that one...
