RAM Clutches.

So, I blew out my stock clutch and im in need of a new one. I ordered a lightweight Fidanza flywheel for the new clutch but im at a loss on which one to order. My thoughts originally went to Spec stage 3, however i've heard a lot of bad things about it. I was thinking about getting a RAM Clutch, specifically there Ram Clutches Powergrip HD Clutch Set. I was wondering if anyones heard or used this clutch. My Camaro is primarily bolt on for now, LT4 Cam, 1.6 RRs, 58x2 mm throttle body, with 4:10 gears on Nitto 555r's. The car is driven very hard, so i'll need something that can really handle abuse. As for drive ability, my other car my Nissan 200SX has a six puck clutch with a alum light weight flywheel. So I can handel a pretty stout clutch.

unless money is an issue, go for the Mcleod street twin. a more affordable setup would be the Mcleod singloe disc. pretty comparable in price to the Ram. i just installed the single disc about 6oo miles ago and it is very smooth engaging, yet holds like crazy glue. just my $.02

I was really hoping to keep the clutch under 650 bucks if possible, however if that's the best solution i'll just have to make due. However, on the twin disc? Do you have to use there flywheel? I got my Fidanza for a great price and already have it, I could always resell it but i'd perfer not too. What's the HP rating on the single disc? I've got a low compression 355 with a Procharger D1SC that im slowly piecing together, that will eventually make its way into the car. Im aiming for 550-600 rwhp, so i'd like a clutch that can handle that. As my T56 is built to take 700 to the wheels.

i bought my old 93 Z with a RAM HDX(one step below Powergrip) and it was great. i thought it was stock until i pulled it out and looked at it, but i loved it.
now with my T/A, it needed a clutch a few months ago and since this car had more done to it and i planned on running nitrous(just got my kit a few weeks ago) i decided to step it up to the Powergrip, which is like 500 bucks new. i love it so far, it chirps my Nittos hard into 2nd and hasnt given me a bit of trouble since install. i got the flywheel cut when i did the install and no problems since. the Powergrip HD shouldnt have too hard a time keeping up with what you got, but like said..... if you got the cash, go for Mcleod.
