ram clutches
I put a RAM clutch in my car about 8,000 miles ago when I did the engine rebuild. The clutch works great if you drive "conservatively" and the pedal feel is no heavier than stock. HOWEVER, I have had my car to the track a few times and an aggressive launch WILL cause the clutch to slip, even if it's not hot. I tried launching my car on the street yesterday a couple of times, and both times the clutch was slipping badly enough I had to wait for the car to catch up to the engine, which was turning 3-4K RPM. No burnouts for me!
I guess it all depends on your intentions. If you are getting a really good deal and don't plan on going to the track every weekend I say go for it. Otherwise it may be best to spend a little(or a lot) more money. I'm ordering a SPEC Stage 3 in the next couple weeks. Happy shifting.
