rachet shifter

i just bought a b&M rachet shifter. part number bmm-80885 on summitracing.com and the sales rep called B&M and told me it would fit the 4l60E but i can seen to understand how the electronic linkage is going to bold up to the shifter. btw its the b&M hammer shifter in case the link doesnt work. has anyone used this shifter in their car? and if so how easy was it. Maybe im just over anxious as it was getting dark out when i tried to put it in, any suggestions?

thanks,

steve

From the description of the Hammer shifter parts numbers, listed on the B&M website:
80885 - General Motors - TH400, 350, 250, 200, 700-R4, 200-4R* (* fits 4L60E & 4L80E with used with custom installation where an aftermarket controller is used to command the transmission. )
