question on quick disconnect (getting frustrated)

For some reason I can not get the quick disconnect to stay in the slave cylinder. every time I press the clutch in it pops out just enough to disconnect.
I undid the bleeder valve to let out pressure and then connected it. Still did not work. It will bleed when the bleeder is open, but when
I tighten it up. POP goes the braided line right out of the slave.
can some one on here please help me.

I don't think there is a pin that holds it just some metal ring with some teeth on it. But if there is a pin that would be why.
I never saw a pin.
thanks for repling and trying to help. I had posted this question before and no one answerd. thanks again

I just noticed you mentioned a bleeder valve so you probably have an ls1 right? The lt1 has no bleeder valve, but it does have a pin that goes through to attach the slave. does the slave have a little hole that goes through where the hose attaches? I'm not sure the ls1 and lt1 are the same as far as that goes...

Yes it is a ls1 and no there is no hole in the sleeve to the slave.
Damn why is it so hard to get this stupid thing to lock in?
