Question on High stall (3000-3500) on Stock Heads/cam
I was told, My car being a 94 LT1..Does not Work well with a high stall, With the stock Heads/Cam...I was told that I should not go over 2600 as long as i have the stock Heads/Cam, because it wouldnt "utilize my sweet spot"...Im looking for guys who know LT1's to help me out here..being that LS1's have MUCH different heads...What do you think?? is this true? Should I stick with a smaller stall?
and BTW...my formula has bolt-ons, 3.73's, Fresh performance build on tranny, free mod

Re: Question on High stall (3000-3500) on Stock Heads/cam
I don't believe that. I would get something around 2800 - 3200. I have a 3000 waiting to be installed on my car. But you may have to do some computer reprogramming if you go with anything over 2800.

I would go with at least a 2800 rpm stall trust me you wont regret it, with a power tune from PCM for less my peak torque came a 3600 rpm instead of the stock rated 2400 rpm. I went with a 3200 protorque converter because its still streetable.
