question about grinding on takeoff in a m6

Just started the past 2 weeks - if I try and take off at even a semi spirited pace I am getting a horrible grinding noise until once I am moving. Sounds like it is coming from the front half of the car so I am thinking it's the clutch. It seems to hold power fine in all gears and doesn't slip so I am not sure whats going on. No noises at any other time that I can really tell.

I am assuming my clutch is going out, maybe the pressure plate or flywheel surface screwed??? Not 100% sure, but I think it is the centerforce dual friction (been in there for at least 4 years - since I have known the car).

Any ideas on what it could be or how I can narrow the noise down?

Mine did something very similar when half of my clutch disc had broken free from the clutch hub.
