Question about deeper oil/tranny pans

Since these things hold about 2-3 quarts of extra fluid. Does that mean you will lose ground clearance? if so, would it be worrysome to accidently hit a speedbump and crack the pan or something?

Re: Question about deeper oil/tranny pans

yes you do lose a small amount of ground clearance. But I don't think it's enough to matter. I used to have a deep tranny pan and it never really hit. I would just drive slowly over the speed bump like I always do.
