Question Q: regarding 4L60E-Rebuild, used or new?

What would be better? Getting a used 4L60E for my 95 Z28 (5.7L), a used one (I found one w/43k & a 2yr warrty for $1150), or trying to put a second rebuild on my current one (last price $1500 done late 1994; dealer $2300).
I don't have tons of money but I don't need to have my baby back at the shop next year for the tranny as I did in 1994.
Any suggestions? Good shop w/warranties or helpful/useful info?
Desperately need my car runnin' right soon.

I think most people on here will tell you send it off to CPT to get rebuilt. (a sponsor on this site) You can get a race rebuild for around 1000 $. http://www.cahallperformancetransmissions.com/

^^^ Agree Frank Cahall @ CPT (Cahall Performance Transmissions) is the way to go...

You won't eat up a rebuilt tranny like you did before and if you go with a standard tranny shop or dealer rebuild they just rebuild it to GM specs and don't fix the fauls GM had with these trannies...
