Pwm?

I just pulled the transmission out of my 95 Z and the front pump doesn't have PWM on it. It has the numbers "8681704"
Anyone have a clue what this is and what is a PWM pump?

Also the side of the transmission has the numbers 8680514. Is this a 4L60E for a 95 Z?

Thanks

the '95 and up used Pulse With Modulation (PWM) to control Torque Converter Lockup called TCC PWM. The TCC PWM solenoid does not exist in 'the '94 and below. Also if you have a '95 PCM code with a '94 4L60E then someone probably added a resistor to dummy up the PWM solenoid or changed PCM code to '94 code to get rid of the PWM DTC error.

From what I see it's a '94 tranny, no PWM, this may help you prove it, ref shoebox.. http://shbox.com/1/block_vin.jpg
