Pulling the Trans

I have 94 z28 M6. I am trying to pull the trans to change the clutch. When I am pulling on the trans trying to pull it out the clutch fork is grabbing something, and not letting it come out. What do I need to do?

Did you pull the clutch fork off the pivot bolt? Trans won't come out until you pull that.

I tried to do that but I couldn't pull it off with my hand. I didn't know if it was bolted in, so I didn't want to break anything. So this is what I need to do then, because I can see it catching on the clutch fork. How hard is to pull off? Are you pulling the clutch fork by hand?

The fork is held on the pivot bolt by two spring fingers that slip under the bottom of the bolt head. If you grab the end of the fork with your hand, and pull straight out it should pop off the pivot bolt.

Thanks for the help. I bet your wife hates that you are all ways wright. I will give that a try in a little while. I guess I didn't pull on it hard enough. I'll take my purse off this time.

Well I got the trans out earlier. Everything came apart easy once I got the clutch fork out of the way. I was trying to post pics and I can't get it to.
