Laying on the floor and muscling the the trans out for a second gear rebuild among a refreshing of things. Is it easier to pull the whole mess or just pull the trans/gear box? Plus, does anybody have any good extra used 2nd gear synchros they want to sell??

You should always pull the pressure plate and clutch to see what they look like and while you have all that out you can change the pilot bearing.

Everything was replaced new 7k ago. tranny started to grind going into 2nd..Bad keepers or synchro..I plan on going in and doing a basic rebuild, synchros pads and keepers..flip the reverse around check play and throw it back in..
