So far the problem is that it will shift through 1st and 2nd gear just find but when It decides to shift into 3 or OD it just falls in like it was shifting into neutral and I dont Know why.

Could it be the Vehicle Speed sensor (VSS)on the tailshaft cuz that went on My buddies 93 sierra and it did the same thing thats mine is doing.

Could It be a the Governor springs inside the tranny and those are strips.

This sucks cuz I dont have the money for a rebuild. Im just hopiong that its something simple and cheap to fix.
There were no signs of slippage or anything like that it still shifted firm and then just decided to stop working.

Any suggestions welcomed I need help soon.

How many miles on it? Is the tv cable adjusted properly? Did this just start to happen? Sounds like the 3-4 clutch pack went bye, bye.

 

Did this happen all at once? Waht does the fluid look like? The 3-4 clutch pack is the #1 problem with these units.

 

I was driving it up a hill just cruising along in 3rd and when it shifted into OD again it just felt like it shifted into Neutral RPMs went up and no power to the wheels.

But if I put it in 2nd and shift it into 3rd there is a shift cuz you can feel it but from there there is nothing just like it was falling out of gear!
